We feel that with all the hardships that chinchillas have had to endure at the hand of mankind, they should have a week of special thoughts and consideration. Pelting can occur at any time, but March is known to be a particularly heavy month when this occurs. We propose that the first week in March of each year be dedicated to appreciation of these wonderful beautiful critters and to honor those who we could not save.
Join us for the Second Annual Chinchilla Appreciation Week March 2 thru 8, 2008.
We would love to have all those who share our love and respect for these animals to join us in celebrating their LIFE!!
Hear Our Humble Prayer
Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends
the animals, especially for animals who are suffering;
for any that are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened
or hungry; for all that must be put to death. We
entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity, and for
those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands, and kindly words. Make us,
ourselves, to be true friends to animals and so to
share the blessing of the merciful.
